Hello from Cambodia!

School is running at full capacity for both kindergarten and first grade now. Our first grade class has quite a few neighborhood students, very poor and in need of love, care and an education. We remain very grateful to you and to the Lord in all of this.

Below are two photos of Reach and his family, a neighbor boy of a single parent household with five children. They all work at one of the fish factories, even Reach when he is not in school. Reach is the only one who attends school at all. His mom told our teacher that he is her last “hope”. We pray that one day they will all come to know their true hope in Christ.

The water level out on the Tonle Sap Lake is now quite low (it is the dry and hot season from March to June) and the school is now sitting on the mud. Thanks to a timely donation, we very recently built a bridge out to the river so the students can get to school easily.

We continue our weekly trips out to the school to encourage, advise and strengthen the staff and students. Please pray with us as we prepare and submit paperwork for this project, that the Lord would continue to pave the way. It can be a complicated matter.

We will be stateside June to mid-August. If you would like to connect with us, we’d love to do that! Email, WhatsApp* or Telegram are the best ways to reach us. We look forward to connecting with family and friends.

Thanks SO much for partnering with us and praying for us!

Love,

Mark & Joan

The dry season is here and the school will be sitting on the mud until the rains come.
Heading out to the school. A one hour journey on our boat.
The kids love “Loke Dah”, translated Mr. Grandpa! 🙂
